Those Confused Minds #95: Allah is Not A Malay Word

A silly creative bunch of clowns created a video which was supposed to be a comedy. Here is the video:

Yes, let’s give the bunch of clowns a round of applause. They really know how to make a fool of themselves. It is clear that the bunch of clowns do not understand the ‘Kalimah Allah’ issue.

Let’s make things simple. In Bahasa Malaysia or the Malay language, Allah is a proper noun. Why is it a proper noun? Because Allah is the name for the Muslims’ god. It is very clear that Allah is not a common noun in Bahasa Malaysia, so it does not matter if it is a Malay word or it is not.

And as of the translation of the word god to Bahasa Malaysia (Malay), if we check in any English/Malay dictionary; the translation of god is tuhan and not Allah. All Malaysian dictionary says that Allah is the name of the Muslim’s god.

The problem with these clowns is, while they do not understand the Malaysian law and the Federal Constitution of Malaysia, they accused others as being silly. When one read Article 11(1) of the Federal Constitution, they must understand that it should not be read alone but it has to be read together with all of the Clauses in Article 11; and so are the other Articles in the Federal Constitution.

Article 11(1) of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia says, “Every person has the right to profess and practice his religion”. But we must remember that Article 11(1) is subjected to Clause (4) of the Article 11.” And Article 11(4) of the Federal Constitution says that, “The Federal law may control or restrict the propagation of any religious doctrine or belief among persons professing the religion of Islam”.

Islam teaches us to respect other religions and Islam does not teaches us to make a joke of other religions. A Muslim who understands Islam will never make a fool of his or her own religion.

Next time, please think properly before making such videos.
