Explosion Shook Neighbourhood in Indianapolis

An explosion blasted off in the Richmond Hill subdivision, Indianapolis damaging 80 houses at 11 p.m. last Saturday.

This aerial photo shows the two homes that were leveled and the numerous neighboring homes that were damaged from a massive explosion that sparked a huge fire and killed two people, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, in Indianapolis. Nearly three dozen homes were damaged or destroyed, and seven people were taken to a hospital with injuries, authorities said Sunday. The massive explosion which shook up a neighbourhood in Indianapolis killed 2 people and injured at least 7.

Two houses were shattered to pieces while 31 more were so badly damaged that they may have to be demolished.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
