Is it impossible that an elephant can talk? Well, it does sound impossible but in South Korea, an elephant named Koshik can actually imitate human speech! The 22-year-old Asian elephant can reproduce five Korean words by tucking his trunk inside his mouth to modulate sound. Koshik can reproduce “annyeong” (hello), “anja” (sit down), “aniya” (no), “nuwo” (lie down) and “joa” (good).

An international team of scientists confirmed Friday what the Everland Zoo had been saying for years: Their 4989.52 kg elephant, Koshik has an unusual unprecedented talent. They said he may have started imitating human speech because he was lonely.
I really hope that my dear cat friend, Primiligh can talk too…
